Audience Peaks and Platform Shares
Data from Streams Charts showed 9,038 streamers covering the Netflix reveal, which peaked at 3,970,738 viewers and ranked as the largest gaming stream of 2026. Twitch accounted for 44 percent of hours watched, followed by YouTube at 34.8 percent and Kick at 20.2 percent. Top individual streams came from IlloJuan with 233,520 peak viewers, Rubius with 191,056, and IShowSpeed with 177,887.
Service Disruptions and Chat Sentiment

Heavy demand triggered outages on Netflix and Twitch that left some viewers unable to access the stream for 40 to 50 minutes. Across more than 100,000 tracked messages, 65 to 72 percent were neutral while negative comments, largely about the technical issues, made up 17 to 20 percent. Roughly one fifth of messages compared the reveal to GTA 5 and Red Dead Redemption 2, often critically, including one remark that read "GTA V DLC FOR 80$ LMAO".
Traffic Spikes and Release Context
Cloudflare recorded a 16 percent global rise in Netflix traffic during the broadcast, with a 45 percent increase in the UK. Rockstar's site saw traffic jump 172 percent worldwide and 1,210 percent in the UK. GTA 6 is scheduled for release on November 19 for PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X/S, following recent leaks and the dismissal of Rockstar North staff who are pursuing claims against the company.
